Meet the Artist

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by color, texture, and the endless possibilities of making things by hand.

I work with fabric, yarn, beads, ribbon, thread, and found treasures, combining them in unexpected ways to create one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate beauty, imagination, and joy. Some days I knit or crochet. Other days I quilt, weave, bead, embroider, or simply follow an idea wherever it wants to go. The medium changes, but the impulse remains the same: to make something beautiful that did not exist before.

My creative journey has taken many forms over the years. In the 1970s and 80s, I designed wearable art and operated boutiques in West Hollywood under the name Ellene Warren. Since then, my curiosity has led me through countless techniques, materials, and creative adventures, each one expanding my understanding of what is possible with fiber and textiles.

During the pandemic, I discovered a passion for quilting and created more than 300 quilts for Project Linus and hospice patients. That experience reinforced something I have always believed: handmade objects carry more than color and texture. They carry comfort, generosity, and love.

Today I continue to explore, experiment, and create from my studio, following inspiration wherever it appears. A beautiful yarn, a piece of vintage fabric, an unexpected color combination, or a spark of imagination can all become the beginning of a new piece.

This website has been a dream of mine for a long time. It is a place where I can share the work of my hands and the ideas that inspire it. I'm delighted you've stopped by, and I hope you find something here that brings a little more beauty, wonder, and delight into your world.
